Co-op
Cooperativa Agraria Cafetalera Bagua Grande is located in the Amazonas region of northeastern Peru. Established in 1979 in response to low prices paid by local coyotes, CAC Bagua Grande has grown to be the largest coffee cooperative in its region. The decision to unite under this umbrella organization came with the realization that they needed to reach major negotiating power against intermediaries. Only then would they be able to work towards improving the quality of life for its members.
Productive Investment
CAC Bagua Grande promotes the development of inclusive businesses through direct exports from more than 300 small coffee producers in the Amazon Region of Peru. We add value through the use of international certifications that guarantee our social responsibility and harmonious coexistence with the environment.
Their mission is to improve the quality of life of all co-op members while producing a coffee of superior quality. Providing marketing solutions, technical assistance, and short-term financing services will optimize economic, social, and environmental profitability throughout the production chain and commercialization of coffee.
