The Federación De Sociedades Cooperativas Cafetaleras De La Sierra Madre Fc De Rl (FEDESI) was founded in 2016 by 6 co-ops, representing over 3,000 small, family farms. The aim was to help producers band together to access markets, financing and technical and governmental support.

Productive Investment
Along with finding expanded markets for their coffee, members have invested in training in sustainable farming practices, improving quality and productivity, through programs for the renovation of the farms, a nursery for young plants and education about organic treatment of coffee diseases.
